Our office has been serving the needs of guests and room providers coming to Lake Balaton since 1998.
This year, Ingatlansarok, which opened in 2005, has received a new name: from now on, we will continue our work under the name BalatonHost, promising that only the name changes!
Following in the footsteps of my father, the founder, my husband and I have organized the operation for a long time, a journey filled with surprises and tasks to be solved. Representing the third generation, our high school children now also lend a helping hand.
Our family business started its operation during the heyday of “Zimmer Feris,” with the task of accommodating mainly German tourists who arrived spontaneously. At that time, there were no advance bookings, no internet, and no Hungarian guests at Lake Balaton. Accommodation sharing websites did not exist, and guests could make reservations from the selection of “available accommodations” on any given day. This was still the time when hundreds of families in Balatonfüred weathered the summer in their garages to make some extra income by renting out their homes.
Since then, much has changed, not only in our family but also in the field of room rentals. The industry becomes more regulated each year, adding more administration and tasks to the daily lives of room providers. This is also a stroke of luck for the private accommodation sector because the increasing regulations, certifications, and daily reports have deterred many opportunists. Those who remain as room providers genuinely dedicate themselves to the comfort of their guests, and the criteria for certification ensure that accommodation bookers receive the appropriate category and quality they choose.
As operators, we assist our accommodation partners in keeping up with legislative changes and managing the complete operation of their accommodations. We provide quality service to both our guests and accommodation partners, treating all accommodations as our own. Accordingly, we handle all required and unexpected tasks to ensure that our guests feel comfortable. When guests and accommodation providers are satisfied, we can rest assured that we are on the right track. We love this job!
